ABOUT
Join us for the inaugural session of “Palatable Dialogues,” an engaging online series of conversations delving into crucial topics of racism, social justice, and human rights through the lens of art. In this session, we are honored to feature artist Will Porter, whose powerful artwork confronts and addresses these pressing issues.
Our first dialogue will revolve around Will Porter’s thought-provoking painting titled ‘Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,’ a piece that encapsulates profound meanings and messages regarding societal dynamics. Will Porter will lead the discussion, providing insights into the inspirations, intentions, and symbolism embedded within the artwork.
Furthermore, to enrich the interactive experience, Will has generously transformed his impactful painting into a downloadable paint-by-number worksheet. Participants are encouraged to download the image, paint, or color during the session, fostering a hands-on engagement with the artistic creation.

ARTIST STATEMENT
“I create artwork aimed at agitating conformist thought. I love to have discussions surrounding art and I find it easier to do so once you’ve aroused someone’s emotions by agitating or disrupting their normal way of thinking. My art and myself are original in that we work in tandem, similar to a Venus Fly Trap. The art attracts viewers, then my description of the piece tends to hold people longer than the aesthetic would on its own.” – Will Porter
